I got accepted to the summer International Security and Intelligence Programme at Pembroke College at my alma mater, the University of Cambridge. So I get to go back to Cam for 3 weeks and study intelligence and spycraft from some of the leading experts. The former head of MI6 is even giving a lecture. I have just had what was probably the worst week in my entire life and to come home today to the news that I was accepted just made everything so much better. I am so fucking excited! I finally feel like I’m getting back on track to do my PhD on what I want to do. Plus I’ll be back in England for maybe 5 weeks in total because I’ll head back home to London for a couple of weeks afterwards so I’m going to get a lot of time back in the home country. I think I need that right now.
